Dear Support Person,

Yesterday, after being notified that an upgrade was available, I executed the upgrade to version 152.0.

The upgrade completed successfully with my eight tabs populating on the left side along with a new tab showing all the features of the new upgrade.

I opened my Gmail tab and my Yahoo mail tab. Eventually, Firefox froze up, saying it was Not Responding. I looked at Task Manager and saw that Firefox was continuing to grab up memory. I ended the Firefox process in Task Manager.

I then opened it again and deleted all the tabs except for one. It continued to grab up memory.

I then opened it in Troubleshooting mode. It errored out, and I sent the report to Firefox support.

The only thing that has changed is the fact that I ran the upgrade to Firefox. Nothing else has changed.

Firefox has been my go-to browser for years. I am using Chrome as my access to the internet now, and cringe every time I go into it.

I hope and pray that you can bring my Firefox friend back to me.

~ Kyle P.S. I just tried getting information from about:support. I was able to copy the raw data and then the application crashed. I sent the Crash Report to you folks. The raw data I pasted in the Troubleshooting Information box.

I'm running Firefox 152. When I try to interact with chat bot at https://www.sutterhealth.org/contact-us it says to "Update Permissions". Their tech support said to clear cookies and cache or use Google Chrome. I cleared cookies and data. Their Chat bot still says to "Update Permissions".

I need to help to find out what is causing this block. Thank you!

Every time I open a new webpage, I get a screen from Firefox asking me if I want to make a translation from English to Spanish or otherwise. It is very frustrating closing these boxes frequently..

Is it possible to access Settings>Accessibility>WebsiteContrast to quickly turn it on and off, by setting it as a bookmark (or quick access) rather than having to click settings and search for it each time?

Can you let me know if this is possible, or possibly add it in a future update if it is not?

I know that there are extensions that allow you to do this, but I am wary of using too many extensions because they can be a privacy vulnerability.

I'm running Firefox on Win10 with no options to upgrade to 11. Since the latest firefox update installed, I'm getting a screen that says "Oops, something's wrong," and then I'm kicked out of gmail. A screen asks about sending a report to Firefox, which I check OK for. Today this is happening about every minute to 30 seconds . What needs to happen?

Since the Firefox update to 152.0 64bit I have noticed that it takes two attempts to log into Spectrum email. The first time I try I get a IDID-4000 error (see below image) after entering my sign on and password. I then have to retry by selecting the bookmark again and then after entering my sign on and password a second time I can get in. This does not happen in Edge browser. I have tried deleting my sign on and password in my saved passwords in Firefox and then manually reenter my sign on and password at the prompt for Spectrum and then saving it again but it keeps happening. I have also tried turning off enhanced tracking, clearing cookies and site data, refreshing Firefox and stopping my Norton 360 and it still happens. There must be a bug in the new Firefox update 152.0 that is effecting the ability to sign into Spectrum as this was not happening before. I am wondering if anyone else is seeing this problem and is there a solution to fix this. Should I file a Bug Report about this? We should not have to jump through hoops or do some work arounds to try and get things to work like before as I have read with other questions having problems with 152.0 update. This update needs to be fixed.

After updating to Firefox 152.0.1 this morning I keep getting Error 7023 Service Control Manager each time I start Firefox. The error description states "The MozillaMaintenance service terminated with the following error: Incorrect function." The Mozilla Maintenance Service was set to Manual and I set it to Automatic but still getting error each time I start Firefox. I have read that the service can be disabled so what do you suggest I do to stop the 7023 error. Thank you.

I had a problem where FF 140.0 would not update, and in trying to get FF yo update, I used a re-install tool to which I was pointed in my problem report. This caused FF to wipe out my configuration, and I lost all my windows and tabs. I have gone to

    \Appdata\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Proifiles\abnfpged.default

cleared all of the data therein, and restored that directory from a backup I made last Monday. But I cannot get FF to use that directory. "about:profiles" shows only two profiles, but the Profiles directory has five profiles:

Only the profiles beginning with "j" and "f1" are seen in the "about:profiles" screenshot I have attached. And I have attached a screenshot of my profiles.ini file. Also, in the abnfpged.default directory I restored, where is the list of all of my open windows and tabs? FF used to keep that in a sessionstore.jsonlz4 file, but that file is only written when FF closes. I tried to save a copy when I was having problems, but I stored the copy in the same directory, which FF changed during the re-install process. Here is my profiles,.ini file:

I have not worked with the ;profiles.ini file in many years, as my FF configuration has not had problems. Thanks.

I usually use firefox to download things, and watch videos, however, sometimes, when I change tabs, try to minimise firefox, close a pop up, even if I just pause a video, it randomly decides to instead completely freeze and require the app to be completely restarted, and it occasionally decides to roll back my search history.

In fact, Firefox crashed as I was writing this, i'm lucky my progress was saved, these issues have made firefox completely unusable about 70%-80% of the time, and i'm running out of browsers to switch to, opera is run on lies, chrome is just bad, and now firefox is dying.

Just for reference, no other application or web browser that has ever been on my current device has ever acted like this, I'm currently using a decent PC running Windows 10

I can not get my bookmarks to sort. If I select the hamburger menu, select manage bookmarks a new widow open where the folder containing my bookmarks are located. If I then select that folder and select sort by name it does in fact sort them. However when I go back to the hamburger menu and select bookmark they continue to display in a random order. What do I need to do to get these sorted? I have attached jpeg screen shots.

When will the drag-and-drop link-to-open-new-tab feature be restored? Previous versions had this feature, which was very convenient, especially when wanting to open multiple tabs at once. Now it can only be done through the right-click menu, which is very user-unfriendly. I raised this issue a long time ago and never received a response. I hope this feature can be restored as soon as possible; otherwise, I will switch to Chrome.

Hello, I am using mozilla built in VPN but I have an issue as for some sites my internet download manager can't download videos while it can when I use my other VPN app.

I am not able to sign in to my United Healthcare account after update. When I put in my username or email, the message comes back as the username is incorrect. I am able to sign on in another browser eg Microsoft Edge. Therefore, it is Mozilla browser issue. Can you help me resolve this?

The browser prohibits access to the social network https://vk.com/ . The browser leaves a response: "Firefox has discovered a potentially significant security issue id.vk.com . Someone impersonating the site may try to steal data such as bank card details, passwords, or email addresses".

Apparently, cookies are not allowed for audio sonograms on eBird,org (Cornell) and I have tried removing the shield and setting cookies to the general setting. The Header has an invalid 250N value. Can you please help me enable these files on any given eBird or Cornell Labs page? I find your instructions very confusing about which settings to use. I have removed all ad blockers from the site and the problem does not originate through my security app (Vipre). These were suggestions from your forum users. Please only post specific instructions to fix my problem. .Why is this feature blocked in the first place? Thank you.

Hello Is it possible to configure firefox in such a way that it remembers forms history on pages, but does not remember search history in firefox? I have classic search bar enabled and all things that I enter in address bar or search bar are remembered and suggested to me. I can disable saving forms history but it limits usability for webpages for me. Is it possible to change something in about:config that would enable me to remember forms on pages but forget forms built into firefox? Another annoying thing is fact that I have to clear both forms history and search history, I cannot separate it.

I'm the I.T. Director for a school and we use the Securly filtering system. I can't get Firefox sync to work behind this filter. What is the URL that Firefox is trying to connect to for sync so I can add it to the whitelist? Or, IP address. Also, does Sync use my system DNS or does it have some sort of internal DNS that it queries for sync? Because I recently found out the hard way that I have to use the Securly's DNS IP's or nothing works.....
