When Firefox upgraded to 49.0 today (Sept., 20, 2016), I can no longer bookmark pages! :'( From the top menu bar, if I click the drop-down menu, the bookmark dialog box does not appear. After I try to do that, everything freezes!! I can't switch between tabs, and nothing works anymore. If I close Firefox and reopen it, then it works UNTIL I try to bookmark something again. I also can't get the "Show All Bookmarks" to work; I can't get to the Bookmarks Library! Same thing: everything freezes!

I have Windows Vista 32-bit. Processor: Intel Premium Dual CPU T2310 HELP!!!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

Yes. The problem still persists in Safe Mode.

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?

Are you able to save a new bookmark by using the {Ctrl + D} keyboard command?

How about by dragging a tab to the Bookmarks Toolbar?

The-edmeister: Yes! I was able to save a bookmark using both those methods! Also, I was able to get to the Bookmark Library (Show your Bookmarks) by pressing Ctrl + Shift + B And things did not freeze after I did so!

Thanks so much!!

FredMcD: I tried the-edmeister's suggestion first, and it worked! So I didn't try your suggestion.

Thanks so much for your input! I really appreciate it!
