Numeric Key Pad is not working. How do I fix this?

FireFox is an excellent browser but I am now unable to use the Numeric Key pad and at times the whole keyboard will not work until I reboot. 

Where is it that I would change whatever settings to use the Numeric Key pad. 

The Key Pad works fine otherwise.

I assume the keymap has been remapped?

Excuse me By reboot I mean quit Firefox and restart Firefox.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

The problem persists in safe mode. I have reset the preferences. Not sure what to do now.

Any ideas?
