can't view old emails

I have been using TB for many years so I have many old emails saved in various folders. I am using POP. I now have a different ISP than I had when I first started. When I go back and try to read some of these emails, they are blank. How can I get these back?

right click the folder, select properties and then the repair button. Do all the mails in the folder disappear?

Note this is a reindex process only. It in no way affects the underlying data if it is still in existence.

When I did the repair, the mails that had no content disappeared. Is this what is supposed to happen? I was hoping that I could get back the original content.
