Hello, I have added a queue of 300 emails to be sent (using mailmerge) and now that it is end of business day I want to stop the process and then start again tomorrow during working hours.

I put Thunderbird offline, hoping that it will stop. But would you please confirm I will be able to start sending messages from outbox again tomorrow?

If there any other way to stop/start campaigns?

Many thanks! Kristina

re : I have added a queue of 300 emails to be sent (using mailmerge)

If you used 'Send Later' in MailMerge then all of the emails will get put into 'Outbox' which is in 'Local Folders' account. No email gets sent from 'Outbox' until you select to send them.

This action sends all the emails stored in 'Outbox'.

  • Right click on 'Outbox' and select 'Send unsent messages'

This is where you choose the setting which determines whether emails in 'Outbox' get sent when you start Thunderbird in 'online' state or swap from 'offline' to 'online'

  • Menu icon > Settings > General
  • Scroll down to 'Network & Disk Space'

Under 'Offline' section

  • click on 'Offline' button

'Send unsent messages when going online'

  • Suggest you select 'Ask Me',
  • click on 'OK'

Then you will get a pop up when either starting in online state or swap from 'offline' to 'online', so you at which point you can choose to send them or not.
