Can I get Firefox to use more resources? Fix my slow Firefox

hi folks, I run fairly intensive Firefox usage, usually 2 windows with 10-15 tabs each, some tabs are resource heavy like Facebook or stock market data page.

Lately, my Firefox has been running VERY slow. Like, just clicking back on a page in reddit may take several seconds, other pages loading very slow, GIF images not loading completely. Seems like it is really bogged down and maxxed out. However, I looked in my Windows system resources, and I still have plenty of resources and RAM free. My system has 16 Gig ram, and I only am maxxing out at about 8Gig combined now, and CPU only maxing at like 15% usually. So, I feel like my system can take a lot more but somehow Firefox is really reaching its limits.

Is there any way to improve this, to get Firefox to use more memory/resources to move faster? Btw, I tried the refresh Firefox and disabling addons and that doesn't change anything. Its just too many high intensive tabs/windows open at once, and it starts to get overloaded.

Chrome seems to be fine when Firefox is slow (loading quick on everything). I do not run very many Chrome tabs, and do not want to switch to Chrome as I prefer to use Firefox. So can anyone help me make Firefox faster? This is what my system resource looks like when Firefox is lagging badly

You could use the 64-bit (Win64) Firefox instead of the 32-bit (WOW64) version you are using. www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Note the Win64 Firefox on Windows only has 64-bit Flash Player and Silverlight Plugins white listed to run while if you want to use other Plugins you need the 32-bit Firefox and 32-bit Plugins.
