I have Firefox 24 installed and the latest Trusteer Rapport endpoint protection software. Trusteer specifically stated that it supported Firefox 24. However once installed Firefox refuses to open. On uninstalling the Trusteer software the problem has been solved.

Please ignore messagebot, unless if it did happen to you, but yes Trusteer Rapport does crash Firefox at start and uninstalling Trusteer is the only resolution.

On uninstalling the Trusteer software the problem has been solved

I'm marking this thread solved. See the answers from cor-el and Trusteer_Support earlier in this thread for help with Trusteer's software.
