I just installed Firefox today (10.0.2) on a Windows 7 x64 system, and all the text looks terrible in the browser. I adjusted the Windows ClearType settings and updated my graphics driver, neither of which fixed the issue.

This same issue does not occur in other browsers. For example, I have taken a quick screenshot of Firefox (in the middle) side by side with Chrome and IE9 (http://i.imgur.com/9Op9B.jpg). Even though this is just a JPEG image, you can still see the difference in the text quality.

Thanks for the help!

Hi anavus,

Have you looked at the Websites look wrong or appear differently than they should Knowledge Base article? There is a lot of useful troubleshooting information that has been compiled there.

Hopefully that will help!

Thanks for the reply. I went through the "Websites look wrong" article, and nothing in there seems to address the issue. Any other ideas?

Thanks a bunch! That worked. It's strange that hardware acceleration would cause an issue like that. I have a powerful GPU and the latest driver.

Anyway, thanks again.
