Frequently clicking on bookmark links cause Firefox to freeze for a minute or two.

At various times during browsing, Firefox will lock up after clicking on a bookmark. I've tried to figure out a pattern, but there is none. It happens when it wants to. The colored Mac circular icon comes up on the screen and nothing happens for a minute or two. I'll go to a few pages without and trouble, then click on some page and it happens.

Same thing is happening to me. Firefox freezes for a minute or two, but other programs are working (but slowly).

If you start up Windows Task Manager, it shows that CPU usage has suddenly shot up to nearly 100%, and the Firefox task is listed as "Not Responding".

This only started recently -- about version 6 or 7.

Thank you I will try that.

I loaded the little program you sent me to and it appears to have solved the problem, thank you again.

You're welcome
