Being English in Spain how can I stop web pages automatically listed in Spanish?

I am from the UK but now living in Spain. The Internet provider is therefore Spanish. Every time I use the web seach the listing provided is for the Spanish equivalent sites. As and when I open any Enlish web sites the pages open in English. I have not had this problem with Internet Explorer.

You can configure your preferred language for displaying web pages by going to the Language configuration window under ..

Firefox (Menu) > Preferences .. (Menu) > Content (Tab) > Languages

.. then click on the Choose (Button) and follow the instructions there.
