tabs don't display address

When I open Firefox 6, the tabs will keep saying 'Connecting...' with the green timing circle. Some of them the green circle will stop, but it still says connecting... Open a new tab and it will go to the web page but still says 'New Tab" not the web-page name. Takes a long time to get to the websites as well.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
