How to change the reply default font color in Thunderbird

jpearson3 replied

Is there a way to change the default font color for replies in Thunderbird? Nothing I do works, and it is a real pain to have to manually change the color every time I reply to an email.

Thanks.

I haven't used it, but this addon may be worth trying: https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/smarttemplate4/

Thanks, David, I installed it, but I don't think that does what I want...or I can't figure out how to get it to do what I want.

All I want is for the font in my replies to default to a dark blue.

That may be possible with CSS coding, but that's a skill I lack. Maybe someone with that skill will see this thread.
