Downloads Are Slow

Downloads on Firefox are slow. They used to be fast, but about three days ago they just went way down to about a tenth of the previous speed. I've tested the same file from the same source and on Edge it downloads at the speed I used to get, so it's a problem with Firefox.

Hello,

Based upon your specifications, you can try this :

As a side note, if you use the Firefox VPN, it is possibly the VPN slowing down your internet speed, and you can try turning it off.

ENable parallel downloading First, type about:config, and click Accept the Risk and Continue. Then, search for network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server and change the default value from 6 to 10. After that, try the download again. Note : when using about config, make sure that you know what you are doing.

If not, you can try checking for problematic extensions.

Lastly, you can try resetting windows TCP auto tuning. First, press the win. key and type cmd, then run as admin. After that, type netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal and press enter. (resets to standard optimization) After that, reset the PC and test. Note pt.2 : make sure that you know what commands mean in cmd. Make sure to not type any suspicious commands. Typing in the wrong command is a huge risk and can make your computer malfunction.
