Yes truly annoying, but swearing isn't exactly going anywhere. No one did this to you, and it works for me. No one thought your situation was good idea and there was no design to wipe your bookmarks You don't say what OS and FX you are using. Many things can go wrong updating and it's not the update usually but a glitch in user processing. By the way did you keep a backup, I imagine from your abusive wording you may not have, else what's the big deal.
