I can't seem to find where the font color is available to change colors.

It sounds like your Firefox theme or system color settings might have changed, which can affect the sidebar font color. You can try going to Settings → Extensions & Themes → Themes and switching back to the default theme or another light theme to see if the font returns to black.

If that doesn’t work, you could also try right-clicking the bookmarks sidebar → Customize Toolbar → Restore Defaults, or check if a custom userChrome.css file is overriding the font color.
