Hi Sajeel,

I’m sorry to hear you lost your history and bookmarks after updating. Normally, if Sync was enabled, your data should still be available on Firefox Sync. Please try the following:

Make sure you are signed in to the same Firefox Account on your Mac after the update.

Go to Settings → Sync and check if bookmarks and history are selected for syncing.

Check your bookmarks and history on any other devices (PC, phone, tablet) where Sync is active with the same Firefox Account. Sometimes data can still be recovered from another device.

If the data does not come back automatically, try logging out and back into Sync, or restarting Firefox.

You can also check if there is a backup of your Firefox profile on your Mac (in ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/). Bookmarks can sometimes be restored from the bookmarkbackups folder inside the profile.

Hello KAMI,

I did restart Firefox and everything seems to be recovered.

Why did I forget everything works after a restart.

Thanks, Sajeel Irkal
