Firefox - macOS - reddit problems again

Firefox: 142.0.1 (64-bit) macOS: Sequoia 15.6.1 (24G90)

A repeat of a problem I was having a couple of months ago. I go to the reddit website and login with no problems but when I try to comment or load specific threads I get the attached warning come up:

"! Your request has been blocked by network security. Please try to login with your Redit account."

Which doesn't make sense as I'm already logged in. Last time it seemed to clear after 24 hours or so although not because of anything I did as far as I'm aware.

1. Started Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode - problem remains … 2. Cleared Firefox Cache/Cookies and restarted Firefox - problem remains … 3. Shutdown and restarted iMac - problem remains … 4. Problem not happening with Safari or DuckDuckGo browsers … 5. Checked macOS Local Network security. Firefox has access but turned off access and turned back on, restarted iMac - problem remains …

OK, it went away again after around 24 hours :-)

I really can't understand why this happens only with Firefox but not Safari or DuckDuckGo browser …?

And it doesn't even happen with Firefox using the old.reddit website.

Very strange.

Hi,

Really sorry to hear that. The previous time, it ended up with Reddit solving the problem themselves. Do you still experience the issue? If it doesn't go away, we'll look into it more deeply.

Looking forward to your update!

Thank you for reaching back; that's indeed weird. What I suggest is if the issue continues recurring, ask a new question here, and we'll start an investigation (as it's definitely not how a website should work in Firefox).
