Downloaded an update of firefox. Is this for real? A message box came up and said I would get a NEW version of firefox but all my things would be saved. Now I have two firefox versions. My old version has all my info and saved and/or chosen settings. HOWEVER the newer version is a new install without settings and WORSE it has GOOGLE as the browser?!?! Is DUCK DUCK GO gone to goOgle? If I wanted a shopping app I would use my GOOGLE account instead of Firefox. How do I fix this?

Could you start up the new version and check what number it is? This is listed on the Troubleshooting Information page: Use the Troubleshooting Information page to help fix Firefox issues. In particular, is it 141.0 or an "esr" release of Firefox 140?

(It's a little confusing because your Firefox identified itself as version 138.0.4. Normally, the updater completely replaces the old version because it installs into the same folder.)

Sorry had Doctor Appointment. Old version shows as 140.04/64 bit, New version has 141.0/64bit. Updater is not my friend, still 2 versions and 2 icons in bottom tray.
