You have made it IMPOSSIBLE to remove the GOOGLE search engine, by graying out the "Remove" button when the "GOOGLE" search engine is highlighted in the "Search Shortcuts" of the "Search" page of "Settings"!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU REFUSE TO FIX THIS, THEN TELL ME HOW TO INSTALL LAST YEAR'S EDITION OF FIREFOX!!!!!

Remember... most "Organizations" do not generate income, someone is paying the bills. ;-))
You need to change the Default Search Engine to something else first before you can remove it. But you don't need to remove it, you can simply hide search engines by unticking them.
