I am having some issues and hope to get help from the community when I open a new window and log in to www.somesite.com. and then I open another window[private] and log in to www.somesite.com i would prefer that it doesn't get me the login from the first window.

tried changing numerous settings but still i keep getting the same login from the first window.

I've attached a screenshot of how it should look like

If you enabled private browsing mode (aka "Never Remember History") then all windows are private and share the same private container.

it doesn't allow me to make the "Never Remember History" option permanent because whenever i close Firefox it changes to Firefox will "use custom settings for history" and is marked as always use private browsing mode

Those settings are equivalent. If you want private windows to be treated separately from normal windows, you need to set History to "Remember history" or "Use custom settings for history" with "Always use private browsing mode" disabled.

it still saves logins from the first window. why is firefox so complicated or does this feature simply does not work

more options

If you save a login it will autofill in normal windows but only appear as an option in private windows. If you don't want it to appear as an option, you can disable "Ask to save logins and passwords for websites" and right-click a login field > "Use Saved Login" instead but you will need to add new logins manually.

Another possibility is using a separate profile or installation like Developer Edition configured to always use private browsing mode that doesn't have any saved logins.

nope. still have the same issue. looks like this feature is not on firefox

You might be seeing form history which happens to include usernames and email addresses, try disabling "Remember search and form history".

In PB mode all windows share the same PB mode cookie jar and other types of storage, you can't have this separate per window. In PB mode all session data is kept in memory and there is only the memory cache used for browsing. All session data is purged automatically when you close the PB mode session.

To keep cookies separate, you need to use containers in regular mode (containers do not work in PB mode).

good to know. but is it possible to get this container thing to work not only with tabs but windows?

You could try an extension like Sticky Window Containers.
