It's easy enough to export logins, but you can't import them in another OS or partition?

Thanks

You need to enable import CSV in the Password Manager (about:logins) via the about:config page as this menu item is currently hidden for performance reasons.

The first answer can't work moving from one OS to another, or one computer to another.. How can you import from a browser in a different OS? You can't. I did mention OS and partition in my question. You also can't import the csv file you just generated, you can only export to it. Why would you export to a file you can't import.

I think the 2nd answer is probably the answer. Thanks!

I'll mark it resolved if it does.

You can also copy logins.json and key4.db (encryption key) from one profile to another profile to transfer all logins. As you replace files, this removes current logins.

Nope, those appear to already be enabled. There is no link, other to import from another browser. That's kind'a hard to do when you're setting up a new OS.

There used to be a way to copy your profile and move it to the new FF install. The change the profile....don't know if that's still possible.

I think you're on to it in your last post, but I have to do something else and come back to it...for now.

You need to close and restart Firefox to make the Import menu item appear after having set signon.management.page.fileImport.enabled = true.
