lately firefox has been freezing or without warning just shuts down. any special reason? according to 'about' it is most current at 94.0.2. i have refreshed and it still happens. i clear cookies & cache every night. no others use my wifi. i cannot figure it out. i am using W11, but i got that more than a month ago and only the past few days has this been happening. i am out of ideas on what could be the problem. any suggestions?

Can you run Windows in Safe Mode and see how Firefox works? What security software are you running? You can also try the Sandbox option depending on your version of Windows. https://www.howtogeek.com/399290/how-to-use-windows-10s-new-sandbox-to-safely-test-apps/

sorry, John. i have home version and cannot use the sandbox option. although you were kind enough to post this, i also have Windows 11 (W11). i contacted my software company and they ran a few background tools from their tech kit and it seemed to have fixed the problem. i appreciate you took the time to post a response.
