why don't some links work on a website but do on internet explorer
Is there some setting that is wrong. When I click on certain (not all) links on our website, nothing happens? I tried this on Internet Explorer and all the links work.

Hi lauramcgr, this question is difficult to answer in the abstract. However, here are some things to consider/investigate:
(1) Is it a link in Firefox?
When you right-click a link, Firefox displays extra context menu items such as "Open Link in New Tab". Do the problem links have those items? If not, there could be something "in front of" the link or the text may be styled as a link but not actually hyperlinked.
(2) Is there a broken script attached to the link?
Many links run a script instead of directing Firefox to immediately load a URL. These are some common patterns:
- Normal link: <a href="https://example.com/">
- Javascript protocol: <a href="javascript:do_stuff();">
- Click handler: <a href="https://example.com/" onclick="do_stuff();">
You might be able to spot a script error, if it's a scripted link, in Firefox's Web Console. https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Tools/Web_Console
Do you want some more info on that, or would you want to share a link to a page where you have this problem and indicate which links aren't working for you?
What element gets select if you click such a link?
You can right-click and select "Inspect Element" to open the builtin Inspector with this element selected.

Hi GRobLewis, what buttons are you talking about?
Did you try the steps earlier in the thread to investigate the problem?
