After using the sync option so I could have the same bookmarks across both my PCs. Several of my bookmarks have just vanished. These were important bookmarks from Guild Wars 2. They had set builds for my characters showing gear, stats, traits, abilities and all that. I had almost a hundred of these if not more, I need these back!

You would have to restore an older compressed .jsonlz4 from the backups in the bookmarkbackups folder. Note that this will replace all current bookmarks, so if necessary create an HTML backup.

The name of an automatically created JSON bookmarks backup in the bookmarkbackups folder includes a total item count (folders and separators included) and an hash value to prevent saving the same backup more than once. You also see this count in the Restore menu drop-down list.

  • bookmarks-YYYY-MM-DD_<item count>_<hash>.jsonlz4.
