I don't seem to recall that happening on my side. Are you sure that isn't a Windows audio source?

Firefox, itself, does not make sounds. This could be from an add-on or your system.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
