Suddenly can't stream 4k video on youtube, not getting enough bandwidth.
So i'm having an issue with youtube where i can stream 5x 1080p streams, but no 1x 4k stream. I'm simply not getting enough bandwidth. But this works fine in opera with the exact same plugins. lastpass and ublock. Using firefox x64, win8.1 x64.
This happened about a week ago, but worked fine beforehand.

How do you know you "aren't getting enough bandwidth"? Talking about 1080 and 4K isn't enough... is there compression, which encoding method is being used, etc. Two similar video streams can have wildly different bandwidth requirements!
I would start by A) checking your network utilization. Windows 8 should still have Task Manager or Resource Manager or something. If it pegs at 100%, then there's nothing Firefox can do. If it doesn't, my next thought would be CPU or RAM... different plugins / codecs could be where the bottleneck is. Maybe disk activity, if it's frantically trying to buffer to a slow disk?
I know because i can see how much bandwidth i'm getting and the never ending buffering. And 1/1.5mb/s isn't enough for streaming 4k. ie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvDkE6Gw6RM which i was refering to above.
Default youtube encoder, default youtube compression.
