When Firefox is started, the cursor changes for a couple of seconds, then nothing.
I installed Firefox without any issues. When I try to run the programme, the cursor flashes for a second or two, but then nothing. I saw some advice about putting Firefox into "Safe" mode by pressing the shift key whilst trying to start the programme, but this did nothing either. Any help would be most welcome.
I tried adding the troubleshooting information, and an xpi file was created, see attached screen shot.

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites. Is the problem still there?
It is possible that your firewall or other security software blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to install for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
