why cant I upload files to gmail/hotmail using firefox (latest ver.) but i can do so using IE? Since I can upload files to my email using IE the problem is with firefox and not with the files size/internet provider. I've try to uninstall and re-install firefox and the problem has not been solved.

are you referring to adding attachment when composing a mail? How did you performed this task?

In general, I would just drag the file from windows file manager to the browser window where the mail composing area is.

Yes, when I composing a mail I did try to use the "Attach files" icon and got an error message. Now I've try your way and I get the same error message.
