Firefox crashes sporadically, maybe once a week it will crash and I lose all my tabs. I have the latest version of Firefox, have updated all my plugins, have active malware protection, BitGuard is not installed on my computer. Is there a limit to how many tabs Firefox can support? It seems to happen more when I have lots of tabs open.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode; Press the <Alt> or <F10> key to bring up the tool bar. Followed by;

Windows; Tools > Options Linux; Edit > Preferences Mac; application name > Preferences

Then Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

This looks like an out-of-memory crashe where Firefox is no longer able to allocate enough memory.
