about:config won't respond to any changes I made
If I made changes like, making the duration of unloading tabs to be 1 minute and turn ON the unloading tab feature, it still doesn't respond to any changes made to the browser. SmoothScrolling when changed in about:config won't work too.

For issues with an extension like Auto Tab Discard you will have to contact its developer.
Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or if userChrome.css/userContent.css is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window

No issue was tied to extensions, I can confirm that due to me having to refresh, reinstall and even reset my windows computer! The only fix I found was to reset my system, which is very annoying. No extension has caused this, I have only added Auto Tab discard due to its ease of use and about:config not responding to user changes.
