Opening a PDF from an attachment in TB (version 138.0, Build ID 20250423163813), scrolling to any page, and choosing to print "current page" always points to first page. I tried this from two totally different machines and accounts, one Win 10, another Win 11.

So Thunderbird auto updated last Tuesday and although I was then sending emails as normal with no error codes and them still showing as sent - they weren't received. I spoke to Fasthost who said my messages were being registered as spam by my own server so deleted before they could be received to my recipients.

Had my DNS settings changed as recommended, I don't have any firewall activated and can send emails just fine through outlook online but not through thunderbird. Fasthost have checked all of the Thunderbird settings for me and they're all correct?

I've changed my passwords and logged back in.

I run the business on this email account and am now struggling so much because of it - please help!

I am running Thunderbird under RedHat. If I start Thunderbird using a specified profile (e.g., -P a1), it is displayed and fully functional using the settings for that profile. If I want to auto-compose a message, an application trigger will start another instance of Thunderbird with the same profile (a1) and the "-compose <compose args>" argument. This also works fine; I can select an addressee in the newly-generated message window, hit 'Send', and sent message appears on the original Thunderbird Sent folder.

I need to run these within Docker containers. Scripts have been developed to support this and populate the container as needed. Thunderbird runs and functions normally within the container; messages are sent/received normally. However, when I try to launch another instance using the "-compose <args>" argument within the container, I get "Thunderbird is already running or not responding". If I do NOT have the first Thunderbird instance running, the "-compose" instance works normally; I can address and send the email. However, this forces me to close the main window everytime I want to auto-compose a message.

It almost feels like the two Thunderbird instances are not communicating within the Docker container. Would appreciate any help/suggestions/debugging approach.

Thunderbird version: 115.7.0 (I have no control over the version in use)

I have setup Thunderbird to check for e-mail each 30 minutes. But I never get any notifications of any new mails :-( And mails are only downloaded when I start the app and swipe down. Folders are setup to sync (but "push" is not enabled). Power settings are set to "Optimized" (works for all other apps that check for things).

I have just started using [and donated to], Thunderbird on this newer PC. However, I cannot reply to emails, getting an error message stating that the sending failed because the SMTP server timed out. This happens even if I type just one letter as a reply and hit send. I have been using Thunderbird for a couple of years on my other recalcitrant PC, and have never had this problem. I have checked and all settings are exactly the same on both computers, same security programs, everything. Some internet articles say that it could be the security system, I disabled that, but the problem persists. What is going on? So naturally, if I need to reply to you, I will have to use the other computer, which randomly shuts down at inopportune times. Regards, Theo Beeltje.

I am not receiving all emails sent to me. I am trying to get support for a problem logging in to one of my accounts, they send me emails but I never receive them. Not in Inbox or Spam or Suspect. Sending email address is not blocked. I can receive emails from their Level 1 support but not from Level 2.

Also I sent an email from a gmail account & never received it.

On my desktop app I also don't get my most recent emails unless I close Thunderbird & restart it.

When it restarts it displays: No message found then latest messages are displayed. This started about a week ago.

I'm using Thunderbird (128.10.0esr) with an Office 365 environment. Normally I'd be using Outlook, but I'm trying to get TB to work so that I can use some of the plugins to help clean the mailbox up.

We use MFA on O365 but, the setup and access itself seems to of gone fine. The mailbox does have a large number of folders (very large).

The main problems I'm hitting is that :

1) Not all of the folders are getting subscribed to. If I refresh the list, I can see all the folders.. I can even select them (though thats a painful process in TB, even with Shift-select). But once I've selected them - not all of them actually get subscribed. I seem to of now gotten to a point where maybe 50% of them are subscribed, the others are not even though I've tried selecting them several times.

There's no error coming out from TB that I can see.. Sometimes it'll sit there and say it's opening a folder.. Other times it seems to say its doing nothing at all (the activity monitor shows nothing).

2) Some folders are subscribed to that I definitely don't want, and I can't seem to unsubscribe them. Eg "Calendar". If I deselect that Folder, the status bar tells me it's unsubscribing but then nothing happens. The folder doesn't disappear either. Inside that folder there's 100s of "Retrieval using the IMAP4 protocol failed for the following message".. that repeats and grows on each get-new-messages.

I can imagine its some incompatibility between O365 and TB.. but where would I find a log of what it's failing on.. How do I get it to stop polling folders it shouldn't ? That seems to be issues on the TB side of things.

Searching the forums here I find lots of threads similar but not with answers, and surprisingly not too many about O365.

Til tider kan jeg ikke hente mails i Thunderbird. Jeg anvender heden5@c.dk via yuosee. Alt er opdateret og alle kontoindstillinger er korrekte. Alligevel sker der det, at i perioder modtager jeg ikke mails. Der kan gå en time eller to dage, så virker det pludseligt igen uden, at jeg har foretaget mig noget som helst eller computeren har været anvendt overhovedet. Det har nu stået på et års tid.

Taskbar icon shows incorrect number of email. Question: Anyone else having this issue? Any fix? Today the Sent - my email address taskbar button shows 98 In Thunderbird I have only 2 new sent messages from 4-18 and none for 4-19. I have 9550 overall.

My Inbox on various days show 75 or 14 or 8 BTW I never get more then a few messages at a time so seeing 75 or 14 or 8 would never be correct.

I go to download and none show up. I have the number of Total message count already downloaded displayed and the number does not change. Any new message would also be in Bold.

I disabled the showing on the Taskbar and as an example when I go to check messages and it says 1 of 1 yet none show up.

I have even moved all my Inbox email to a subfolder and no new email will show up in the Inbox when the program says I will have lots. I checked my domain cPanel email and no new email either.

LarryGad post (Reply to Ashley LambertonQuestion owner): I get the same screenshot Ashley posted above. But...clicking Allow doesn't download my Gmail messages. And clicking the link, Account Permissions, just produces a blank window. An idiosyncrasy is I'm the domain administrator for a "Free Legacy Edition of G Suite for personal use".

This paragraph may not be relevant to the above issue. I did stumble across the Account settings link (https://myaccount.google.com/general-light?pli=1) which contains the line: 'Connected accounts View and manage your accounts from other services' Clicking the 'View ...' link goes to https://profiles.google.com/connectedaccounts and displays the message: "404. That’s an error. The requested URL was not found on this server. That’s all we know." Highlighting the 'View ...' link shows https://profiles.google.com/connectedaccounts?authuser=0

Matt replied to my question last night (thanks Matt), but when I went into my account to respond I couldn't find my original question thread to answer him. Maybe it is the time difference? (I'm in Australia)

My original question was:

I can read my emails but I can't delete or action my emails. They're just piling up in the inbox. Sometimes, I can delete just one and then, it stops deleting. Sometimes the New Message icon is brown and sometimes green. I have no idea why it changes colours.

I've been using Thunderbird for over 10 years and it's been great with no problems.

I'm a bit of a luddite and I'm finding the new changes are doing my head in. It doesn't work for me now.

I give a monthly donation to Thunderbird to support the work being done, but if I can't use my emails, I'll need to change from Mozilla to another email system.

I'd appreciate help, and, also appreciate some advice about how I find a response that is sent to me when I go back to Support to answer it. Thanks.

I receive but can not send email to my gmail account. I get the following error message:

Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

I have tried all the suggestions in the web article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/automatic-conversion-google-mail-accounts-oauth20

none of the recommended solutions resolve the problem.

Server Settings: IMAP Server imap.gmail.com port 993 ssl/tls Oauth2

SMTP Server smtp.gmail.com port 465 ssl/tls Oauth2

Any other suggestions?

Hi, I am running Thunderbird 128.10.0esr (64-bit) on a Windows 11 machine. Within the last week, I had an issue with my system and it rebooted with several programs still running. When I logged back in, there were 4 email messages that showed up on my inbox, that had been deleted. Now when I go to them and open them, the content is blank and i cannot delete them or move them to my trash folder. I am not sure where to look to see if there is a place to remove them in a profile or other area.

Hi,

I created a mailing list in TB 115.4.1 a year ago and have used it frequently without a problem.

Today it didn't work, giving me the error seen in the pic.

The only thing that is different is that I upgraded my hardware and had to move to W11.

Why would a server suddenly object to the syntax of an old mailing list?

Any idea where I can start looking?
