For the last several months on Windows 11/Chrome, when I am on someone's web page and they have a email link and I click it, nothing happens. In the past when I clicked it, it would pop up a new email message from me to that email address on Thunderbird. What I've tried so far:

o reset Chrome settings o Uninstall and re-install Chrome o Tried the hyperlink on another browser Edge - still doesn't work o Temporarily stopped my antivirus sheilds - no change o changed Thunderbird email composition settings for using plain vs HTML - all option choice, no change o tried changing various Chrome security settings, nothing works o uninstalled or turned off my pop up blocker, no change

Any ideas? Thanks

I have an earthlink email account. thunderbird downloaded email for 2025-01-24 and 2025-01-26 but has not downloaded messages for 2025-01-25. There are messages there when I go online to earthlink and check the account using my browser. The messages for the 25th are also visible in my android earthlink app. I use thunderbird as my archive for messages so really want to get these messages downloaded.

j 'en peux plus de ces nouvelles version, tu m'étonne qu' il risque de disparaitre ! alors mon profils est sur D depuis 1 milliard d années, je change de disque dur, je transfert le profil assigne la lettre D au nouveau HDD et hop plus rien à l allumage du pigeon ! je recrée un profil transfert les ancien dossiers ..ect... (comme j ai toujours fait depuis le paléolithique environ. mais niet, désinstalle , réinstalle, V128 marche pas , V115 marche pas..... ça souplesse était sont principal atout, ben alors on change..... je crois que je vais chercher une alternative ! en attendant si vous avez un conseil !! merci de votre aide

Hi, I am wondering why I have to close Thunderbird and reopen to get my emails. If I don't get emails for a few hours I close and reopen and there they are. I am running Windows 11, using Comcast/Xfinity, Port 993 and Port 465, SSL/TLS. What should I change or do so I get my emails immediately when they are sent to me? Thanks-In-Advance. Marc

Scrollbar disappeared for no apparent reason about five days ago when composing emails.

I'm also working an older draft and it's still functional, as it is on replies to received messages that have scrollbars.

I have gone to Troubleshooting Mode and restarted, disabled add-ons and restarted, no effect.

I also verified that scrollbars were enabled, to no effect. On second thought, I went into the registry and found that the Dynamic Scrollbars actually DID have an incorrect value of (0). Changing it to (1), closing out, and restarting also had no effect. Are there other scrollbar values that should be adjusted?? I hate that nearly-invisible Windows scrollbar that has to be pulled out when needed. Could that possibly be related, or is there a patch for that?

How do I save all my emails, drafts, and sent messages if it's necessary to delete and reinstall the same version? I have one active yahoo account and one hotmail that's no longer active, but I want to save the contents.

I don't want to upgrade to 102, which comments seem to imply may have undesired changes. It seems that every upgrade requires research to disable unwanted features or glitches.

I need that scrollbar to navigate messages as I revise them, not having it is just Not Acceptable.

I have 3 calendars in my Lightning calendar interface. Two are stored locally, one is labeled "Home", the other is "Recurring". I also have a Google calendar named "Shared". I can create and save events into any of these calendars and I can move events between calendars using the context-click "Edit". But if I receive an invite in email, when I accept it I am offered only the choice of "Home" and "Recurring". I cannot save it to "Shared". When I open the event, I am not offered a choice of calendar. I believe in the past I could accept invites into the "Shared" google calendar, but I might be wrong about that.

I have a new laptop and I'm trying to set up my Thunderbird account. I have it all set up on my old laptop which I cannot not turn on. I can't access some passwords from the old laptop, etc. I use OPTIMUM as my email.

I am in need of "transferring" my T-Bird acct from my old to new laptop. Is it possible to bring over all the folder I have already created?

BTW, I tried to enter a new password on my new laptop but I get a 'failed' msg each time. It's all going in circles.

I hope my question makes sense.

Hello, Since this morning Thunderbird asks for my password everytime I click on my email logo to look at my emails. When I enter the password I can have access to my emails which semm to come in normally. If I close Thunderbird down and come back two minutes later it asks for the password again and so on. Search in Thunderbird. If I search for a word such as "availability" it returns results for "available" with or without double quotes. It's a bit unhelpful that there isn't a way to force search only for what I am looking for, so I end up getting search results for the wrong thing.

Would be nice to have a wildcard search such as "availab*" which would be more intuitive.

How do I ensure it searches exactly for what I want, and not interpret my search keywords?

I have used Netscape for many years. And Thunderbird. I installed Mobile Thunderbird a few weeks ago on my Android phone, importing the settings from my desktop Thunderbird.

Everything work, just that ALL my sent messages disappear. They reach their destination, but I can’t see them in any sent folder on the phone. Is this a bug? I have checked, that «Subir los correos enviados» (= upload sent messages) is checked. It was already checked. I unchecked, sent mails, no change. Re-checked, sent mails, no change.

Ideas?

Also my «bandeja de salida» (outbox I think) is empty. Only my Sent and sent-mail folders have mails (one seems from the desktop thunderbird, the other from the webinterface).

Bonjour, I have used TB fore more than 20 years without major problems but today I am stuck. The TB version I run on is: 128.6.0esr (64 bits) on Windows 10 I use three accounts with Orange, one has the problem, not the two others. Originally the settings were the same on all three/

pop.orange.fr Port 110, default 110 SMTP France Telecom / Orange Port 587, default 587

Having sought help from the French (my mother tong) TB forum, one suggested to replace those settings for: pop.orange.fr Port 995, default 110 SMTP France Telecom / Orange Port 465, default 587 As a result I no longer received the ERROR message asking me for a password, instead a small blue segment showed on the bottom right of my screen and, after a while...nothing: no mail IN no mail OUT. I tried these new settings on the two other accounts with just the same result: no mail IN no mail OUT. So I went back to the original ones.

Has anyone a clue?

After I download email into my Inbox I typically save attachments to my hard drive for later reference. As I am viewing the email and after I've saved the attachment (the attachment is not open) I right-click on the attachment and delete it. At that time the message immediately disappears and cannot be found in any folder in my download Inbox or in any local folder - not Junk, Trash, Inbox, Archive, Sent or Drafts. This is a random, though frequent, occurrence and I can find no specific pattern to its occurrence. It occurs whether or not the email was Read or Unread. Repairing the folders does not reveal the deleted email(s). Has anyone else experienced this?

Currently folders are sorted alphabetically and it doesn't appear that you can change that. This means that the Trash and Spam folders are way, way down in the list.

It would be better if you could manually override the alphabetic sort or if, by default, the Sent and Spam folders appear under the Outbox folder.
