Trying to customize my bookmarks toolbar. drag the urls down and arranged them but when log off and log back on they have all disappeared..not sure how to save them or why I would have to do that...what am I missing?

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
OK, Thanks...a lot of this is above my skill level, but have spent an hour or so doing a lot of different steps suggested to no avail. I finally uninstalled and reinstalled firefox. Still doens't work..The only thing that is on this toolbar is "getting started" and netflix (not sure how or why netflix is there.) Might it have something to do with my Sony Vaio and 64 bit (seemingly a source of probs with internet explorer)?
The above steps could have fixed my issue (tried most.) I did a system tune-up on my computer this morning and that could have done the trick. Thanks.
