Thunderbird Compose/Write screen has no menu bar, address list, send button. Do not use "hot keys."
When clicking on "write," screen to compose outgoing message comes up. Has no menu bars, no list of potential recipients, no send button. Attempted to reinstall T"bird but did not correct problem. Can add a "Primary" recipient by calling up address book, but can't add subsequent 'Primary" recipients. Can add subject line, type message but can't send it.

in compose window, click View>toolbars and check that 'composition toolbar' is ticked.
There is NO View option
Move your mouse to top of Thunderbird screen and right-click mouse. A menu should appear so you can activate the menu bar. Once you have that, you will have the View option.
