No. I could not find the on access etc.

Thunderbird is not blocking it yet. But if McAfee do not start releasing add-ons that do actually work and have been rigorously tested we may well start blocking their add-ons completely.

Personally I am sick of spending my time supporting McAfee. If their add-on does not work, then it is up to them to fix it. As I said, Thunderbird is not blocking it yet. When it does it will not activate or install.

arbrus - presumably both Thunderbird and McAfee has updated in the past two months.

So do you still experience this problem if you re-enable the addon? We'd like to know - so we'd be grateful if you can test and reply.

Tbird 38.5.1 was working with Mcafee antispam until 3 days ago. McAfee tech support upgraded Tbird to current version and it still did not work. Reverted back to 38.5.1 and still not working. Mcafee says tbird is blocking it somehow.

All parts of McAfee are enabled. McAffe extension is installed in tbird. Antispam does not work at all: Nothing goes to antispam folder.

After seven months of nonfunctioning McAfee Anti Spam with TBird, with several failed attempts by McAfee tech support to fix the problem, after I had given up all hope, all of a sudden yesterday with no action on my part, it started up again! Miracle of miracles! McAfee version 15.0.2059 actually works with TBird version 45.4.0. Congratulations to McAfee for somehow eventually figuring it out.

Please go to Tools | Addons | Extensions. Find the McAfee addon. Click "More". What version is listed for the McAfee addon?

To clarify ..

I am not asking you to change anything.

What I need is for you to tell me what *version* of McAfee and McAfee addon you are using currently.

Please? It would really help.
