Import from Outlook 2010
I have been trying to use the Import feature within TB, but for the life of me, doesn't allow importing form Outlook 2010 ( i have set Outlook as the default email client) but the Outlook option is greyed out. What else can i do?

MailStore, is a mail Archiving software, it will "Archive" your mail from any and most sources, including direct from the server (IMAP and POP3).
1) Download and install MailStore. Open the program. Make sure your email clients are closed (Thunderbird and Outlook 2010 in my case). 2) Run the "Archiving" tool. Choose your source. In my case I choose Microsoft Outlook. 3) Wait till it finishes the process. Depends on how much mail you have in Outlook. 4) Once done, it will show what folders have been archived in the Archive folders tree. 5) Right click any Folders, and click export and choose your destination. Mine was Thunderbird. 6) Wait till the process is finished. And you should have all the mail (or in my case a three main folders) in your Thunderbird as a separate local folder.

Import from Outlook is broken in Thunderbird 38. You will need to use Thunderbird 31 to do the import. Get it from https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/releases/31.8.0/win32/en-US/
Once the import is done update again to the latest version via the built-in update mechanism.
Thanks, but I have solved the problem using MailStore. I archived the necessary Outlook folders, and then imported them into TB. Hope this helps everyone else.
