I am unable to complete an update to Firefox. The process begins but does not complete.
I have gone through the process of asking Mozilla to update my firefox. It begins to run, and after about 10 minutes, I quit.
Shockwave has not been working very well for me lately, would this be part of the problem?

Try this:
- Download the full Firefox installer and save the file to the desktop
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ - Start the installation with a double-click on the desktop icon
I downloaded by clicking on the link provided. Firefox Setup 33.1.1.exe appears in the download queue.
I click to open, a little blue circle appears , then quickly goes away.
Nothing else happens.
