When removing thunderbird can the emails be retrieved?

I have recently removed what I thought was the shortcut to Thunderbird, but it seems that the program was removed completely. Now, in able to control this disaster, is there a way to retrieve my emails when I re-intsall the program? I am referring to the inbox, the outbox as well as the archived emails.

Reinstall Thunderbird and your stuff should just re-appear.

No, it didn't work. Do I need to refresh or import the settings from somewhere. Now it's just empty.

Try go to your profile folder, maybe there are two, one of them should be your old profile, just try reset it.
