how do i change automatic opening of a program with skype link

I clicked a skype link and it said what program do you want to use to open it, i browsed to skype shortcut then checked 'always open this when this link's clicked', but it didn't work and now i can't find a place in options that let's me choose another program to open it.

Press the <Alt> or <F10> key to bring up the tool bar. Then Tools > Options > Applications.
