Mouse cursor activates items about 1cm above position
When I move the mouse around ANY web page, contextual items from 1 to 1.5cm above the mouse position are activated. This includes not only items within the web pages, but also tabs and buttons in the main Firefox application. I have been unable to get a screen shot, as Grab deactivates what is happening on the Firefox screen.
I am running Firefox 12.0 on OSX 10.7.4 on a MacBook Pro.
This problem has persisted for about six months and I've had no luck clearing it up despite the following actions: 1. Deleted and re-installed Firefox 2. Deleted Mozilla preferences 3. Disabled add-ons and restored from backups
When I start the browser initially (or after a reboot) Firefox works fine, but after changing web pages a few times, the problem may be seen again. The result is that I can't click on areas within the web page I'm interested in because the items above are the ones activated.
Can anyone help?
