I like Mozilla Firefox as a browser and it was working fine until an update two days ago. I normally due the updates primarily for security reasons not performance reasons. I did the update and Firefox will not connect to the internet at all. Since the update, Mozilla crashes when I try to connect with any page on the internet. The crashes are immediate; I cannot connect to any website at all. As anyone else had this problem recently and were you able to solve it? Unfortunately one cannot contact Mozilla directly for direct help with major problems such as this. I appreciate any ones help on this. It appears to me this latest update is the problem so past solutions may not work but I will and am trying them.

Today: DevTools crashed many times, and I’m facing unusual issues. I cannot call through Messenger and cannot connect for video calls. Also, DevTools is not working, even though Firefox Developer Edition is quite good and healthy. Even Firefox is not working well. Please fix this issue quickly.

OLD ISSUE

My Firefox is using a lot of data; I don’t know why.

I am not using Firefox, and it is not running in the background, yet it is always using the internet. So what do I need to do in this situation? I tried to stop the internet connection using outbound rules, but it did not work. It is still using the internet. What is the reason my browser has high data usage? I have high data usage; in fact, in the past 12 days, we've used 30+ GB of data.

Where are these coming from? Sidebar is off. I have all preloading off, all suggestions of every sort off, any predictive anything off.

I am not experiencing this on my win10 machine.

How do I stop this?

Many of the emails I receive with embedded html do not display right as "original HTML." I have to switch to "simple HTML." Then switch back. This is a real nuisance and time killer. This has been going on for several months now after one of the TBird upgrades. I can find no text display setting that will overcome this. I attached examples of an original and a simple display of the same incoming email.

What gives? This is running on a MACBook with the latest release of Sequoia.

Thanks, Steve
