I just updated to version 140.0 and now my subfolders are out of order. Is there a fix for this, short of fixing it manually? I miss how they were automatically alphabetized. That went away when manual reordering was implemented. I can't grab a bunch at the same time and move them, since the order is so messed up.

Firefox has just introduced wallpapers for browser home page. I cannot get it to work. It's either cropped too small or pixilated, is there a setting I need to adjust, or a particular image format? So that it looks ok.

    It is delight to use and experience with Firefox Mozilla browser. I request to  make Firefox Mozilla as main.

As of this morning (7-5-25), the app Firefox and only the Firefox app turns my entire phone screen grayscale when it is open in the foreground. The color transition takes about a second, and if I tab to another app or the home screen it takes about a second to transition back to full color. I cannot find any active grey scale settings in either my phone or the app. I have downloaded no extensions to my knowledge.

The Local Folders Account has a setting to set the Message Store Type. By default it's set to "File per folder (mbox)". How can I switch to Maildir?

Note that in global Settings, I have already set up the Message Store Type for New accounts to "File per message (maildir)". But I can't create a new local folder account.

I generally avoid the updates. I've been burned a few times too many. So, I always check to see what is actually new. This 140 has two things I like, "Unload Tabs" and "Customize Overflow".

Unfortunately, "Customize Overflow" is missing the MOST IMPORTANT tool for this process. How do you REMOVE existing items that clutter and make a mess of the few tool I actually use.

Please fix and make this a fully useful tool.

Is there a way to change the zoom of the chatbot window? it doesnt change when I adjust the browser zoom. I typically have that at 80% so the chatbot looks zoomed in which is annoying.

Hi there! In one of my two e-mail accounts I manage with Thunderbird via IMAP, the archive options (where I would like to configure that the archived messages go into folders organized by year) are greyed out. See attached screenshot. (In the other account, these options are accessible.) The account in question is a google-based work account; is this related to the inaccessibility of the archiving options? Can this restriction be overcome? Thanks in advance. Tsepati

Some app may be trying to helpful; instead it's annoying. When typing (SwiftKey) in T-Bird (tablet and phone) SOMETHING is adding words it thinks MIGHT be helpful like "suggestions." Have to delete them to continue typing. Just started about a week ago. Do I have some setting set incorrectly in T-Bird? Any ideas what might be doing it?

My screenshot scissors tool has disappeared from the toolbar. I looked in "Customise Toolbar" and "Edit controls" is the only related toolbar that's there. Has the scissors tool been replaced by this?

Previous versions of Firefox turned a link from blue to purple once it had been clicked. The new update does not seem to have this feature. I would like it back, or an option to turn it on again.

I was wondering how to restrict certain words from being browsed on the account, is that possible? I heard FoxFilter does something similar but I can’t seem to find it.

My desktop computer died, so I needed to copy all my data files from backup (which worked fine) and then install all the apps that I regularly run on my laptop. When I installed Thunderbird, I got the latest Release 139.02. It behaves very differently from what I think is called the "Classic View" that was running on my Desktop. I REALLY hate it, but can't figure out how to set the Thunderbird parameters to do that. My problems include:

-- Overview of Thunderbird "Views". I can't find any documentation that explains [a] the various viewing options that Thunderbird offers and [b] EXACTLY how to set them.

-- Release Notes. I haven't found any release notes to explain when/why a major change to view was done.

-- Periodically, even for same release, Thunderbird CHANGES my parameter settings. Most annoying is changing the General Message-List settings to "Show Only Display Names For People in My Address Book". I live in a retirement community where many husbands & wives share the same Email address. With this setting, Thunderbird shows the name associate with the first message I received from this Email address. So the heading doesn't show which person actually sent it (although I can make a good guess when Thunderbird is telling me it came from a dead person. [g]

Is there ANY way I can get Release 139.0.2 to display messages the way I've been seeing them for at least 10 years? I REALLY need help. (If I can't get Thunderbird to behave the way I want, seem like I might as well switch to reading/writing messages directly from Google Gmail web site. It's equally lacking in documentation, but I suppose that eventually I could figure it out.)

I am adding tabs to Collections and have noticed that I cannot change the order in which the list of Collections appears, either on the Home page under subheading "Collections" or upon clicking "Save to collection" from the three-dot menu.

The order seems to be fixed by an ordering system of oldest to newest. There is no way to rearrange this ordering, either to alphabetical ranking or custom ordering.

Is there a way to switch up the chronological ordering? Any help would be much appreciated.
