Hi,

Everytime i go to youtube.com on my Windows 10 PC Firefox browser, it redirects me to https://kids.youtube.com/t/redirect and gives the message below: YouTube isn't available with your Google account. If you have an Android device, you can watch YouTube Kids there.

I am not signed into firefox with a google account. I even tried logging out and closing/reopening firefox browser on my PC and i still get the same message.

That would indicate that some parental controls are active on your Windows account or at least Firefox thinks so.

You can check the connection settings.

  • Options/Preferences -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
