Thunderbird won't connect to my Yahoo account.

Also, please post your Troubleshooting Information. At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button ≡, then select Help > Troubleshooting Information. Press the "Copy text to clipboard button" and paste the information into your reply.

Sorry wrong message

When I open Thunderbird, the screen shown in YAHOO1.png appears asking me to log in to my Yahoo e-mail. This screen did not appear previously and I would be automatically logged in to the Yahoo account.

When I add my email address to the box in YAHOO1.png and click to move to the next slide, I would expect to see a blank for me to fill in the password, but instead I get the message shown in YAHOO2. png and am unable to do anything else. If I close that screen, however, another screen identical to that shown in YAHOO1.png appears and the cycle repeats.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

When posted in full, the Troubleshooting information text was too long and was rejected. I have tried to shorten it by deleting blank spaces and some text. Thank you for your suggestions. Before attempting the safe mode, I read the recommended Troubleshooting section and found that for the Yahoo account, the box to indicate acceptance of cookies was not checked. I checked the box, closed Thunderbird, reopened it and was able to connect to the Yahoo account and Thunderbird displayed new Yahoo emails. I closed Thunderbird, re-opened it and it displayed properly, so I believe the problem is resolved. Thank you for your patience and attention.
