Hello, It's been a few days Thunderbird freezes when I want to save a message on the computer (save as). When I close the saving window which is not responding, it automatically saves the message on my desktop. The file where the last message was successfully saved is still existing so I don't think it is a path problem. I have tried to restart it without the add-on but it doesn't change anything. And it is up-to-date. Anyone knows what the problem could be? Thank you! Estelle

Why do I get unwelcome changes with thunderbird? For some time now emails do automatically open when thy down load. Today when I click on an email to open the Bold print stays. So doesn't show as an already read. Like Thunderbird but may have to look else where if I have these annoying problems just pop up. Help................. John

People are not receiving my emails. I am receiving other peoples emails. I am using Linux Mint 22 and Thunderbird 140.11.1esr. If I send an email and look in the sent folder, it shows that it has been sent. If I log into my Bell Webmail portal and check the sent folder there, it shows that the email has been sent. But no one gets my emails. If I send an email from my Bell Webmail portal, people receive that email. I have re-installed Thunderbird and allowed Thunderbird to autofil the incoming and outgoing server information after entering my user name and password. No change. I have contacted Bell my internet provider and they have told me that because I can send from the Webmail portal and not from my Desktop, it is a Thunderbird problem. It seems that this problem may have start just after Thunderbird received an update about 2-4 weeks ago. It has been around a month since the last time I had a back and forth email exchange. Searching the forum has been difficult to find an issue similar to mine. Any help would be appreciated. Robert

Until recently the folder pane could be sized or hidden via the double-headed arrowed cursor. Shortly after the 151.0.1 update this stopped working. All suggested solutions have not worked. A full uninstall (Revo Uninstall) and completely new profile has not fixed the problem. Folder pane only responds to the menu setting and is only Open/close but no sizing.

I have a Dell Desktop with 64GB Memory, Windows 11, Intel Core i7-7700 @ 3.60 GHz, 1TB ssd, and two additional drives. On a new installation of Thunderbird 152.0, I get "System Integration" (Not Responding)" window. The only option is to exit. What can I check to correct this. I have uninstalled and deleted the install file multiple times with the same result. Thank you.

I Shift/Deleted an email in my UNREAD search folder, & all emails in the folder disappeared, as well as the same unread emails in my Inbox. This happened twice in the last few months, with two different accounts (personal and business), both times on the UNREAD search folder. The emails are still in the profile - i opened the profile in Notepad and searched for them. I've given up on trying to get them back into the Inbox (spent several hours with aid from AI), but would like to continue to use Shift/Delete withut this happening. Thanks. Geoff

Someone suggested BetterBird would be better for me than Thunderbird, but I'm not sure it was the right decision. They said I should be able to just open Thunderbird and it should work as they have the same base code, but it doesn't. Any ideas? I have 8 email accounts, so I'd hate to start from scratch.

I have a Yahoo.ca email address and have been using Thunderbird to retrieve my email for years. For some reason, a window now pops up to Rogers.com and they want me to log in there. This is not a Rogers email address and it is separate from Rogers. I had this issue before and this forum managed to get me back. My settings are correct. I have deleted the profile 5 times and added it back after a computer restart and still nothing.

I'm trying to trim down my hard drive, and I see that my Profiles folder has 2 ImapMail subfolders. In the first of them, imap-gmail, I have 14 All Mail files numbered "-1" to "-13" plus the most recent All Mail (today's date), unnumbered. Most of these All Mail files are quite large. Can I delete all of them except the most recent, unnumbered one? In the second subfolder, imap-gmail1, the files are all from before 2025, and instead of multiple "All Mail" files I have multiple "rstmp" files. What's the deal? Can I delete this whole folder? Is it a backup? Thanks for your help. FYI, I'm up to date in Windows 11 and Thunderbird, with a fairly new computer. I hope I've provided enough into. I have three separate Yahoo email accounts. I set up Thunderbird to link to each Yahoo email account separately. It worked fine for a year or more. On 5/25/26 one of the three Thunderbird email accounts stopped downloading emails from Yahoo. I could see at the bottom bar Thunderbird indicating that is was downloading 1 of XX emails, but never actually downloads them. There is no error message. I checked the Yahoo email account to verify the number of emails I am missing from Thunderbird and the number is correct. I can see the emails in Yahoo. I'm the only person using Thunderbird, so no changes have been made to previous settings for retrieval. I confirmed Security and server settings for Thunderbird in and out going emails, and Yahoo are correct. I tested the connection in Thunderbird, and the connection is successful. I tried to send an email from the Thunderbird account having issues, and the email was sent and received by the recipient. The recipient replied, and Yahoo received the email, but failed to download it to Thunderbird...along with all the other emails since 5/25/26. I unlinked the account and reestablished the link between Yahoo and Thunderbird, and still not fixed. I tried restarting the computer, with no change. I tried to send an email from Thunderbird to one of the other Thunderbird emails and it was sent and received. I made changes to Thunderbird to force the download of emails, and it still wouldn't do it. I turned off my antivirus, closed Thunderbird, and restarted it, and that didn't change anything. The capacity of emails on the email in question only has 739 emails, so it's not over the limit and I have plenty of storage capacity. Thunderbird is set to save emails, Cookies and cache were cleared, no change. I ran the folder repair feature in Thunderbird, but there was no change. I compared all the settings between the other Thunderbird emails that are working against the one that isn't, and they are all the same. There was a suggestion to close out of Thunderbird and delete the "Global-message-db.sqite" file from the Thunderbird profile in case it was corrupted, and it would recreate this file when Thunderbird was restarted. The file was recreated, but it didn't fix the problem. There was mention that a suspicious email in Yahoo might be blocked by Thunderbird, so I placed various emails in the spam folder, and it didn't work. I did find one email in the Yahoo spam folder that was dated before 5/25/26 and moved it to the Yahoo inbox. Lo and behold, that one email downloaded to Thunderbird. So there is something within Thunderbird preventing emails from downloading after 5/25/26. I've read many people complain about similar download failures with no solid fix. Someone mentioned it fixed itself on a day, but then stopped again days later. Someone else mentioned Yahoo changed its password protocol to transfer emails, but that doesn't make sense since the other two are still downloading based on the "old" password protocol. I'm at wits' end. Thanks for reading all of this. I hope someone has a solution.

I've been trying to find a way of synchronising Thunderbird data, principally addressbooks, messages and calendar data, between several PCs. I've tried to do this with a file synchronisation program called Allway Sync but it's become clear it's not just a case of copying changed data between the profiles of the different systems.

It seems the only way to do it is by exporting the profile data to a zip file then importing it to the other systems. That would be a rather clunky solution but I could live with it. However the size of the profile folder on my main workstation is now around 5GB so that doesn't appear to be possible.

I should be extremely grateful for any suggestions on how to accomplish the synchronisation if it is at all possible.

My main workstation is running Windows 7 Professional SP1. The others are running Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Professional

All of a sudden every time I open something in an email it automatically creates a new tab. When I delete what I have open it takes me out of my email account and I have to delete the tab to get back to my remaining emails. I have changed nothing so I am confused as to why it has recently changed.
