I upgraded my system to Kubuntu 26.04 LTS and started Thunderbird. The window where messages are listed was covered with Thundrbird presentation asking for donation. Only edge of one message is seen above the presentation and I cannot get to the list

My cable company not doing email accounts anymore and has told me to use everyemail.com . For some reason I cannot use Thunderbirdto see my email anymore. I'm a 77 yr old widow. I have always had the Mozilla products. I don't know what to do and have nobody to help me. I hear my mail loading but can't read it. Please help. My setup is Windows 11 Home 24H2 on HP ENVY core i7 Thunderbird 64 bit ver 157.0 updated from 156.?? while chasing this issue. Some time after 08:00 EDT 9/28/26 Spectrum/Charter altered sign-in process, their tech support has been able to fix most customers by changing password on individual accounts. This does not seem to work for Thunderbird accounts. Any attempt to download from my roadrunner inbox attempts for over 60 seconds then fails. Attempts to send from my Thunderbird fails with SMTP server error 10060. Attempts to download from my roadrunner inbox fails with same error 10060 from POP server 47.43.26.4 on port 110 and port 995. I'm running Thunderbird 157 64bit for Google email, Calendar & Tasks. This has worked nicely for months even after the upgrade to 157. Today Calendar & Tasks fail to connect and are completely blank. Apparently the Add-on 128.5.12 (Philipp Kewisch) that made this work has been disabled for some reason. Please don't tell me that Thunderbird has suddenly decided Google Calendar and Tasks just aren't needed by anyone anymore. There is no new connector available that I can find, just a suggestion to go back to an older version of Thunderbird? Please help me understand. Thanks!

I'm in Alberta, where we have recently changed timezones. Note that the CLOCK has not changed yet, as we are still before the date in November when we would "fall back". We were UTC-6 summer and UTC-7 winter. Windows called this "Mountain Time (USA and Canada), but now the "Mountain Time (Alberta)" timezone is in Windows after the 2026-09 Preview Update (KB5124010) (26300.9550).

When connecting to Shaw.ca's IMAP servers, the certificates that were valid prior to the Windows update are now reported as invalid. This has been confirmed across two separate PCs with different email accounts. The data for the certificate LOOKS valid (see screenshot) and is the same before and after the timezone change.

The failure occurred on the latest ESR release of Thunderbird, as well as 156.0 and 157.0 non-ESR.

I used to be able to access the content in my folders and copy to paste to another action. Now all it does is enlarge the content and switch back and forth but won't copy.

I am an active member of one of the UK national political parties. Even in California you will be aware that Sir Keir Starmer is no longer the CEO of the Labour Party. Yet every time theteam@labour.org.uk write to me I see this ghost called Sir Keir Starmer appearing as the sender in Thunderbird. I have carried out investigation. Through my originator email system I see The Team identified for those emails. These also show correctly on my Android phone. I am sick of the sight of Sir Keir Starmer. There is a new leader called Andy Burnham. You as in Firefox is ADDING SIR KEIR as an override of the originator. Something is wrong. Please investigate.

on September 24 all thunderbird email accounts on 2 laptops and 2 cel phones stopped syncing with Rogers/shaw email. after spending 1 hour on a call with Shaw the webmail account is working but Thunderbird email cannot connect to the server and download messages to the devices and they tell me it is a thunderbird issue

Thunderbird 156 and 157 resassigns deleted folder from Outlook to name Trash.

Because user cannot rename it back to deleted user ends up with 2 Trash folders.

I reported this earlier but never got any fix nor help.

I used to be able to 'click' an email link,.. and the page would auto open in chrome,.. with a message at the top of the screen informing me this was happening. I have tried deleting the handler.json file but this does not fix or resolve the issue. My current Files & Attachments,.. has just a pdf entry,... set to preview in Thunderbird,.. and this duly open pdf's in a TB tab.

I have found the config editor settings,... for network.protocol-handler.external.http and network.protocol-handler.external.https and can verify they are set to true

But I still cannot just click on an email link,.. and have it open in my default browser.... Can anyone offer some options as to what i am doing looking where,.. wrong. Many Tx

I'm moving from Windows to Mac. I exported my Profile from the Windows setup to a ZIP. The import to the Mac seemed to go smoothly but the result is I got all my custom headings I'd nested under Inbox (etc.) but none of the contents. The ZIP is well over 1 gig in size so clearly the export caught all but none of the contents imported. '

For example, under Inbox I created a Heading named Receipts that was populated by receipts from purchases. The import added that heading but none of the emails under that Heading.

I tried simply copying the Profile file from the Windows profile folder to the Mac profile folder but that clearly did not work.

I'm on the edge of desperation here. I'd greatly appreciate any and all help.

I have 2 PlusNet accounts & 1 Yahoo account, which I now use as my main email. The PlusNet email(s) are about to become defunct because I am opting out of it being sold to Greenby. I had both IMAP & POP3 PlusNet accounts on TB. I have managed to delete the IMAP account, but I'm not able to switch my default email to Yahoo (greyed out button) & I'm scared to delete the PlusNet POP3 (or confirm my Greenby opt out) until I've confirmed Yahoo as my default/only email account on TB. I'm not confident Yahoo will automatically become my default if I delete PlusNet POP3.

Please help I'm old & not very techie.

Just updated to Thunderbird 157 and all my calendars are now disabled because the google calendar add-on is not compatible and was disabled. How do I enable my other calendars or move back to 156 while I wait for an update for the google calendar add-on?
