My Win 11 Home (ver 25H2, OS build 26200.9168) Dell laptop runs Firefox v. 155.0 and doesn't load costco.ca however my iPhone 15 Pro Max running Firefox v. 154.1 does. The laptop's browser initially loads the costco.ca landing page (for 1 second) then displays a white screen with this message: "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information)."

What can I do to enable Firefox to load Costco.ca on my laptop?

Over and over again when I try to open a website I get the notice that says "Secure Connection Failed". I have to restart my laptop and then I can open the website that I tried to access before. I've tried using the suggestions in the forum with no result in solving this problem. I've attached the page that comes up showing the problem.

I updated to Firefox v155 today and noticed immediately that video is washed out. Please see attached image. Firefox is on the left and Safari is on the right. I haven't updated my laptop yet and video looks 100x better.

We have been using Firefox for a long time as our default browser. Recently (last 6 months +-) we have been encountering links in some websites that do not function in Firefox, but work fine with other browsers (Chrome, Edge). First noticed it with Wunderground Weather Underground after a Firefox update. Some aspects of the site simply did not work on our laptops. Since then we have encountered a number of other websites that have clickable links that do not work with Firefox, but work fine with other browsers.

We are losing confidence, to the point of considering switching default browsers.

Are others having the same issues, and what is Mozilla/Firefox planning to do to remedy these sorts of issues?

I run Firefox on a retro Linux system that is currently running a personal "Frankenbuntu". Basically, Kubuntu 14.04 LTS with lots of components updated either "in-tree" or via a pkgsrc-like collection of "ports" installed under /opt/local that includes GTk3, Mesa, VAAPI plugins etc. I use that tree with a combination of built-in rpath settings (for apps installed under /opt/local) and wrapper scripts setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH, so as to maintain the possibility to run system apps independently, in particular while booting. (Sounds complicated, but it's also a rewarding fun project for me, allowing me to keep using an old and familiar DE with modern features on 2017 hardware,)

I have never yet dared to update my glibc from the stock 2.19, so with every Firefox update I fear to run into problems with that. I do have a 2.27 build but that is installed in another parallel prefix (/opt/glibc/2) because one cannot simply use LD_LIBRARY_PATH to use a newer glibc (I think because the ELF interpreter, ld-linux.so, has to match).

I already use patchelf with success to change the ELF interpreter to the 2.27 one, for instance with Ferdium, a Node/Electron application. This works and as far as I can tell, it will load all Mesa and DRI components from my /opt/local tree so hw-accelerated video works as it should.

The DRI module I actually need (iHD) does load but I still get the GFX abnormal shutdown error. I've tried the interpreter change in other applications using libva and don't see the issue.

Any idea why this is, and what can be done to prevent this, beyond actually updating my system glibc? I'd have no problems disabling sandboxing.

My Firefox just updated and I'm now receiving the recommended stories (along with the widgets and recent activity.) when I open a New Tab. I was able to disable the widgets and activity and I see the place where I can turn off the Stories, but they are not going away.

In the "Customize" menu accessible via the pencil icon on the New Tab page, toggling Stories off does not make them go away; reloading the page, the toggle is re-enabled.

In the general Settings menu, accessible via the hamburger menu and under "Home and startup," I have Stories ("Exceptional content curated by the Firefox family") toggled off. The toggle does not reset, but the stories still display.

How can I fix this? Thank you all very much in advance.

I use the dual English/German spell checker, a while back it stopped recognizing teh and ahve for example as the and have, only when turning off the German spell check it works again.

Is there any way to make one language take priority over the other (without having to turn languages off and on constantly?) or to get more suggested results?

HI All Recently purchased a laptop and want to have FF sync with my desk top. I am signed in to both devices with the same account and have checked all settings on both and they are identical. Why are they not syncing?

I have a new Windows 11 lap top and have been trying to make Firefox work the same as on my Windows 10 laptop. I looked at "Bookmarks import doesn't show bookmarks on title bar? " and tried to follow the instructions. The result is that the bookmarks toolbar contains both "Import bookmarks" and "Bookmarks menu" but not the actual Bookmarks Toolbar titles. The Library shows:

As you can see, I am going round in circles. I do not understand properly how bookmarks work. On my old Winows 10 laptop, I managed by trial and error to get something that I could use, but now I am mostly getting error.

When I started up Windows 11 on my new laptop, I had to connect to the web via Edge to be able to install Firefox. I foolishly went on to install Firefox via Microsoft Store. I have now installed Firefox from the Mozilla website via the Microsoft Store version, but I cannot uninstall the Microsoft Store version. I don't have access to the folder where it is installed even though I log on as an administrator.

To get straight to the point, I use the website https://ingrails.com/school/. I've noticed an issue: when I try to print certain contents from this site using the Mozilla Firefox browser, the borders don't show up in the print preview and they don't print either. However, I don't face this problem with Edge, Chrome, or Opera. Why does this happen, and what is the solution?

I have attached some screenshots for reference. The screenshots showing the borders were taken from Edge, while the ones without borders are from Firefox.

Every time I go into firefox there seems to be another update to download. I conform to ensure I'm up to date. The latest has changed my display to a basic display. All my bookmarks are gone. I cannot access the back up file on my W11 computer. I have a new android phone and I installed firefox on that, but I have yet to use the application as a browser, on that phone. I tried to recover from the phone, but it does not give me the options to select to follow the steps firefox says I should take. It does not allow me to scan the QR code. I desperately need my bookmarks. If I go to the help, obviously others have the same problem. I see the questions but no answers, I am signed in. I have been trying now for 2 hours. Please help. Hello, we have a DLL product that is injected into Firefox, and it generally works properly. However, from time to time, we encounter crashes like this in individual tabs.

Could you please help us understand what might be causing these crashes?

Only with Deepl, I click on this program and immediately I get a window which says "Checking if the connection is secure". Underneath this, I have to check a box which says "Verify if you are human", with the Cloudflare logo.

I've tried everything to get rid of this as it slows me up. I've tried Settings/Installed Apps, Search, Programs etc but it is not contained in any of these lists. I contacted Cloudflare who gave me some suggestions which didn't work (can't remember them), then said it was part of Mozilla and it was them that have attached this window so I need to contact you to get rid of it.

Can you help me please?

If I'm using the built in VPN no pages will load, regardless of the location I pick. I did not have this issue previously, I've only first saw it the other day. No websites seem to work and as long as I have the VPN turned off everything works fine.

I use GiveAsYouLive to raise funds for charity when shopping online. To ensure it works what settings should I have in Firefox to allow the shop site to interact with my browser? Please explain in simple terms as I'm not a techie !
