The same as everybody else who has reported this problem except I do NOT have a SEOMOZ Toolbar, or any addons that say SEOMOZ to disable. I just want to know what is causing this and how to eliminate it completely without reformatting my hard drive.

When do you see that message?

Do you still see it if you start Firefox in Save mode?

  • Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js [3] files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

I did all the steps that you suggested and no, this problem doesn't happen when I start FF in safe mode. I have a few SEO toolbars installed for my SEO work but none clearly named SEOMOZ TOOLBAR, so I cannot tell which to uninstall if one is the problem. I saved a jpeg image of the troubleshooting information but the image is too large to post here.

Anything else?

I started un-enabling each SEO toolbar and add-on one at a time until I found the problem (so far - I think). A SEO add-on called DOMAIN HAMMER seems to be from SEOMOZ (or at least they advertise seomoz on their login page), and it seems to have been causing the problem. So far the problem is not happening BUT now each time I start FF my cookies and 3rd party cookies box's are checked. I set my privacy for FF to "Never remember history" and it will not stay that way, and when I restart FF the "Accept cookies from sites and "Accept third-party cookies" are checked again... after I have unchecked them, saved my settings and restarted FF.

My question now is how do I keep my history and cookie settings to stay as I want them set? Thanks for your help.
