Private browising NOT working....its remembering eveyrthing i do

When i engage Private Browsing in Firefox 6.0.1 i get a "Page not found error" instead of the usual private browsing page that comes up. But whats worse...its remembering everything i do in private mode. History and all shows everything that should have been not kept.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
