Sorry for that. Could you please try running Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode and see if the issue persists?

If the issue persists in Troubleshoot Mode, it's worth reporting on Bugzilla, Mozilla's bug tracker, so that the developers can take a look. Since I can't reproduce it, I'd greatly appreciate you filing a bug and sharing a link here.

I would just add that I'm having the same issue. Currently, I'm using Firefox 154.0 on macOS 12.7.6.

The issue manifests like the following:

1. Open a new tab 2. Type/paste a search term or an URL into the address bar and press Enter 3. It looks like a webpage is being loaded and loading is eventually finished, but the tab background stays blank

It doesn't help, if I click the Reload button or click into the address bar and press Enter, even though it looks like the webpage is being reloaded, the tab content is still blank. So I copy the address, open a new tab, paste the address and press Enter and it loads the page successfully. It's not happening every time, but frequently enough to be quite annoying.

David, when you're in that state — would you be able to do Command+A and Command+C as to select all contents and copy it, and see if pasted into e.g. Textedit it actually shows the page content there (i.e. the browser had it, just not visible?) — or if you're familiar with devtools, context–clicking on the page and selecting "Inspect" — if that gives the expected content nodes that you can hover in the inspector panel, they'd highlight in the browser etc. … but just stay invisible?
