Bookmarks in Firefox 152.0.4 not accessible

Recently my installation of Firefox (Windows 10, 64 bit) updated. Now my bookmarks are apparently gone--or at least I can't see them. Furthermore, I can't bookmark anything at all, so I don't have the option of laboriously rebuilding my library of bookmarks. I don't know how to recover what I had, or even if I can at all. Nor do I know how to alter settings so I can add new bookmarks. Could someone please assist? Thanks.

Sometimes the files get locked by your antivirus or something similar, can you just try restarting the browser and the computer first, before looking into more comprehensive steps? E.g.: Can't add, change or save bookmarks - How to fix

Sometimes, the simple stuff works wonders. That's the case here. A simple restart of both the PC and browser put things the way they should be. Thanks for keeping me straight.

Lovely, that's always the best scenario! Sorry there's not a "smarter" way how to recover from such situation, sometimes the things are just not aware something's off about them… I know it's a cliché but there are just so many reasons to turn things off and on again… and give them a chance for another attempt at catching up… so I'm glad to hear it's all back!

Feel free to mark the answer above as the solution for others in the same situation looking for help, it will surface this thread if anyone else runs into the same. Thanks, —J.
