I just updated to 102 and lost calendar. I tried instructions from your help page. Got as far as "extensions.installedDistroAddon.{e2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103}". What I see is that boldface in a box with True further to the right and then a toggle and delete icon. When I right click I only get a box that says copy, paste or select all, with select all being the only option available. I tried toggling to false and then continuing. When I go to the add on manager and select extensions, there are none listed. I tried restarting Thunderbird at that point, but the calendar is still not showing my info. Help!

I am on TB 91.11.0. It crashed a few minutes ago and now I can't start it. I have rebooted my PC. Doubleclicked on the TB icon, and it does show in the App List in Task Manager. I have never had anything happen like this before. Looking in the crash/events folder I can see that a report was made and uploaded. If it helps I can attach the crash report. How can I get TB going again? My whole life is in there.

Please any ideas?

My TB profile is on my home NAS, which has worked fine until I installed TB 102 (64-bit). Now when I enter my account password and check the Save Password box, login to the account fails and the password is not saved. I can access my accounts if I don't check the Save Password box.

I've tried deleting the key4.db and cert9.db files. While they are recreated, it doesn't fix the problem. There are no file called "logins*" in the profile directory, which I've seen mentioned in previous discussions of this type of problem.

I used Sysinternals PROCMON to try and get some idea what's going on; i.e., what files are referenced when saving passwords. I did notice repeated attempts to read key4.db at offset 24 , length 16 which always failed with NETWORK_ERROR. Other accesses to key4.db succeeded.

I have programming experience and am willing to use the Debugger under Developer Tools. I just have no idea what to look for.

Thnk you for any suggestions you can provide.

I just tried to upgrade my Thunderbird V 91.10.0 to Version 103, and completely broke my system. (Windows 7, 64 bit)

Thunderbird complained that the folder "Trash" could not be found, and all filters related to that folder were deleted.

When I tried to delete a message, it would not be moved from the inbox.

In many folders, when clicking on a previously saved message, only a blank page would show up.

To roll back to my working version, per other instructions on the web, I uninstalled V 103 and reinstalled V 91.1.0 from a saved install file.

Now, Version 9!.10.0 says that the new version has made irreversible changes to my profile, and it cannot access my previous thousands of saved messages, filters and address books. I tried to import the old profile, but the import wizard says there is nothing to import.

Any suggestions to recover all of my saved work for the past 7 years? This is the first time that a TB upgrade has failed for me. Thanks!

When I upgraded from 101 to 102 on the first restart TB "Lost" several folders and some filters were disabled (referring to those folders.)

The folders appeared in the folder list on the next restart but mail for them was not filtered correctly and a msg "Folder not found" displayed (not exact text).

Restarting TB the folders were found but the filters not reactivated.

Good Morning, For my business I ship packages via Endicia.. Once a shipping label from Endicia has been created for an order we then right click on the customers name and select send a tracking email..

Now our Thunderbird has an email ready to go, but its sitting there.. we have to leave whatever we are working on and go to Thunderbird and hit send on the email.. when you have 500 orders its an extra step we are hoping there is a way to rid ourselves of.

Is there a way to go into Thunderbird and tell it to automatically send those emails without having to click send on each one?

Thank you for your time with this.. Amy

I only used snap package manager for my Ubuntu TB installation because the apt equivalent was an older version than that on my previous Windows 10 TB.

Now it seems to me that flatpak may be a more memory-efficient and secure way to enable each application to have its own set of dependencies - sometimes using a different version of a dependency used by other applications - without unnecessary duplication/storage bloat and consequentially faster wearing out of SDD drives.

At present my snap TB is on version 91.11.0, as is the current flatpak version of TB.

I had a lot of trouble migrating TB from Windows 10 to snap on Ubuntu. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1309930 I lost a share of stuff and I don't want the same thing to happen again.

So is there a secure, tried and tested procedure for a TB migration from snap to flatpak ?

I use Mac 10.15.7. I want to upgrade Thunderbird from 78.14.0 to 91.11.0. I tried upgrading in the fall and had a lot of problems with address books, but I want to try again. I have a lot of address books. In case I have to re-import the contacts to the individual address books, what is the best way to export each address book from 78.14 so that 91.11 will accept it when I import it back in? The options are comma sep, tab delim, vcard, and ldif. Thank you.

Hi, appreciate any assistance. have not had this issue before.

After a MSFT update restart last night I am missing an important subfolder from the left folder pane. The files are still in the folder, including both the MSF and the file itself.

I have tried, without success:

1) with TB closed deleting the files from the folder and then re-inserting from my back-up. 2) renaming the foldertree.json file to force it to re-build

I have not noticed any other folders missing from the left pane. As you can see from the screenshots, the folders to either side are still there.

FWIW, I'm running IMAP, but store a lot of stuff in my Local Folders.

Any thoughts? thanks.

Finally looking into this again. It's a problem I've been tolerating for quite some time but I finally want to get this fixed. For a while now, TB has had this annoying habit that sometimes when I delete or move a message or series of messages to another folder they seem to go but then immediately reappear. I'm using IMAP to my own Postfix email server. The strange thing is that if I perform the operation (delete or move)again it works successfully this time. So it's kinda hard to reproduce reliably to debug this.

I was asked to log IMAP activity which I'd turned on.

While often the messages just reappear I also, on occasion, see the following popup

I looked at syslog on my server and didn't see anything that indicated what exactly the error was. I'll try to monitor more closely now and report back any additional information.

When I tried to access Outlook from my normal email programme (Thunderbird 91.11.0), yesterday & today, I get the message "Login to server outlook.office365.com with username rwf@rwfern.uk failed."

What can I do, please?

Points:

1. I've just renewed my domain-name registrations. My ISP doesn't think that would affect anything.

2. It happens on both my macOS machines (iMac & MacBook).

3. Gmail (from Thunderbird) on both machines works as normal.

4. It happens in 2 venues (at home, and in a café), with (obviously) separate wi-fi connections.

5. Logging in to Outlook via Firefox, with same id & password works normally.

6. The mail software on my iPhone has no trouble connecting.

My ISP thinks that, if accessing Office/Outlook via Firefox works normally, then the problem must be with my Thunderbird settings. I've attached screenshots with these in.

My ISP doesn't 'know' Thunderbird, but is very willing to answer any questions, if that would help you.

All good wishes,

Roger Fern.

I noticed Thunderbird had not downloaded any new emails since May when I changed my yahoo password. The TB yahoo popup wouldn't take my current password, so I had to create a new yahoo password. I deleted the passwords stored in TB. When I could log back in to yahoo from TB, all the old folders were gone and the inbox only showed emails back to April 2022. The profile folder (same name now as it was) used to be 28 GB, now it is about 5 GB. I selected the repair folder option, but all it did was reload emails back to April. I used to have about 8 years worth of emails in TB. Are all the previously downloaded e-mails lost forever? Is there a way for TB to tell yahoo to download all the e-mails on the server prior to April?
